I guess I crossed this goal off without even thinking about it or trying as I’ve made way more than 3 new friends since I started blogging. I’ve realised that I’m never going to be the type of girl who has super close friends that she calls up at night just for a gossip or pours her heart out to while eating copious amounts of ice-cream after a heartbreak. (Yes, I’m cynical enough to know that I will get my heart broken again in this life time!) I’m to private a person for that. But every weekend I go to the cinema with a group of people I’m proud to call my friends. I also meet up with them and a bunch of others on a monthly basis for #themeet140 where we enjoy good company and a few drinks. There’s my blogger/Twitter girlies who keep me up to date with the latest trends, make-up and snacking options! Then there’s my convention friends. Those who I am unafraid to declare my geeky side to, some of whom I’ve never even met. But I still call them my friends. Why? Because they are all genuine, nice, kind, fascinating people. I think the TV show ‘Friends’ has a lot to answer for. It gives us unrealistic expectations of what our circle of friends should be like when to each and every one of us it’s different. My friends are all wonderful and I want to thank them all for coming into my life and being there for me. <3
